Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions posed to them.

One of December’s featured authors is David Edwards.

How long have you been writing?  

In all likelihood I’ve been writing for fifty six years, and I have spent nearly forty years writing reports, specifications, software and documentation, but whilst I had always wanted to write a novel I
didn’t start one until 2013.

What do you do to relax?  

To relax, I loaf; read a bit, cut the grass, play with hardware, socialise.

Are you a dog or cat person? What is your favorite breed?  

I’m not much of a pet person, but probably more cat than dog. We used to have a cat that would lie on my chest and purr loudly when I was slumped on a recliner using my laptop, a sort of self propelled  fur collar. I was definitely fond of him.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?  

When I’m not writing, I like to loaf (see above), but the day job has to get done sometime.

Who is David Edwards? He has spent the last thirty five years as an Independent IT Consultant (http://www.e2-systems.co.uk), carrying out assignments all over the world. He has an ability to combine strategic vision with a mastery of detail, both of Information Technology and a wide range of Business Applications. Or so he tells his customers. If you met him socially, you would learn that he has been married for thirty eight years, has four children, and swapped the last of them for a demented parent when he and his wife last moved. ‘The Spirit Of The Age’ is his first novel.
