The theme for October photo blog and challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com was Photographer’s Choice. I did not take any artistic shots this month. My pictures were more about the fun, interesting things I was doing. I think I will find my inner artist in November.

We were hanging out with friends and decided to play dominoes. I ended up winning this round.

I helped with a fundraiser for the Soup Kitchen called “Empty Bowls”. I made two bowls: one to donate and one for myself. Making the bowl was easier than you think. The professional potter worked the clay in advance. All I had to do was mold it in a bowl shape and paint it. This is the bowl I kept. I liked the way it looked after firing in the kiln.

I told hubs that I wanted to melt glass. He made this kiln at our house and then we tried to get it hot enough to actually melt glass. That was easier said than done. The temperature is half of what we needed it to be to do what we wanted. Yes. That says 1,110 degrees F!!!!

October means Beer tastings! The beer tasting was held at Montagues. I don’t go for the beer. I go for the food 🙂 The lovely item is a collard green wonton with red eye gravy reduction. It was so delicious!!! Just looking at the picture makes me want a plate of these right now.

All my posts could be food related this month. LOL This is from Bulla in Atlanta. I loved their bar setup. I wish I had taken a better picture to really showcase all the different ingredients for their cocktails. I ordered Sangria Blanca and it had blueberries and strawberries. Yum!!!
These were just a few of the pictures that I chose for October.
