Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions posed to them.

One of November’s featured authors is Sara Fields.

How long have you been writing?

Since July of 2015. I won a bid in a silent auction, and came across Stormy Night Publications work. I was able to pick out six different books, and ended up buying an additional six because I couldn’t narrow it down. After reading a bunch of them, I realized that I had stories floating around in my head that I wanted to tell, and I couldn’t wait to get them down on the page. I submitted my book at the end of September of 2015, and was published a month later. And I’ve been bitten by the writing bug ever since!

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t be afraid of what people will think. Do what makes you happy, and you should have started writing years ago!

Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?

I would like to meet the other authors in my writing genre, specifically Renee Rose, Maureen Smith, and Sue Lyndon. They are amazing women, and they write incredible stories. Frankly, I would want to pick their brains for what they learned in their early years of publishing that they wished that had known earlier. 🙂

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

My day job – doing science in the lab. Writing for me is an escape from the daily grind of successes, failures, and extremely high pressure and expectations

Who is Sara? She  is a new author specializing in erotic spanking romance, who spends the day doing science, and writes by night. Sara finally decided to branch out and write some hot spanking fiction, so she could share the sexy fantasies that happen deep in the recesses of her creative mind.

Book Blurb: For an ordinary twenty-two- year-old college student like Lana, the idea of being kidnapped from Earth by aliens would have sounded absurd… until the day it happened. As Lana quickly discovers, however, her abduction is not even the most alarming part of her situation. To her shock, she soon learns that she is to be stripped naked and sold as a slave to the highest bidder.

When she resists the intimate, deeply humiliating procedures necessary to prepare her for the auction, Lana merely earns herself a long, hard, bare-bottom spanking, but her passionate defiance catches the attention of her captor and results in a change in his plans. Instead of being sold, Lana will be given as a gift to Dante, the region’s powerful king.

Dante makes it abundantly clear that he will expect absolute obedience and that any misbehavior will be dealt with sternly, yet in spite of everything Lana cannot help feeling safe and cared for in the handsome ruler’s arms. Even when Dante’s punishments leave her with flaming cheeks and a bottom sore from more than just a spanking, it only sets her desire for him burning hotter.

But though Dante’s dominant lovemaking brings her pleasure beyond anything she ever imagined, Lana fears she may never be more than a plaything to him, and her fears soon lead to rebellion. When an escape attempt goes awry and she is captured by Dante’s most dangerous enemy, she is left to wonder if her master cares for her enough to come to her rescue. Will her king risk everything to reclaim what is his, and if he does bring his human girl home safe and sound, can he find a way to teach Lana once and for all that she belongs to him completely?

Publisher’s Note: A Gift for the King is an erotic romance novel that contains spankings, sexual scenes, elements of medical play, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Thursday’s Thoughts featuring author Jorja Tabu #BWWM #swirlromance

Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions posed to them.

One of November’s featured authors is Jorja Tabu.

How long have you been writing?

Forever.  Seriously.  The first book I wrote (and still have) was an epic My Little Ponies fantasy story when I was four years old.  I drew each page, all forty of them.  The daycare worker that diligently wrote down all of my brilliant thoughts in the little speech bubbles (I guess it was more of a graphic novel?) was named Heather–I am so thankful for all of the kind people that helped me along the way, and she was the first.

Who is the most famous person you ever met?

Doug Wilder, of course!  Richmond representing.

What do you consider to be your hidden or uncommon talent?

I love to hula hoop, but I’m not particularly talented; I’m better at cooking, which is much more common.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

I am a very family oriented person, and picnics at the beach with my extended family and friends are the absolute best way to spend a day for me.  Especially while I hula-hoop badly, and make decent food 😉

Who is Jorja Tabu ? She is a self-proclaimed raunchy heretic and writer that dabbles in anything sultry, shiny, sexy, sin-bent or soulful. Her blog and twitter are the best places to catch ramblings about upcoming books, feminism, horror movies, and the many and varied reasons why Canada is sexy.

A Galaxy of Scars spans a decade, an epic love, and contains rough language and adult sexuality and situations. It is meant for mature audiences.

Thursday’s Thoughts featuring author Nath Jones #indieauthor @MsNathJones

thursday thoughts

Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions posed to them.

One of October’s featured authors is Nath Jones.

How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing my whole life. I made a real commitment to the work in 2007. On New Year’s Eve of that year I had invitations to five parties and thought, “I don’t want to go to any of these. I want to write a book.” So I stayed home and wrote one.

What is your favorite style of music and why?

When I’m writing I listen to Downtempo, Psychill, Ambient or Electro House. It’s difficult to work with words if I’m listening to music that has a focus on lyrics. Rhythmic music works very well.

I listen to Chicago radio in the car, B96 or 104.3. I tend to put a great deal of pressure on myself so fun upbeat music is important. I listen to whatever’s light and happy, K-Pop even, or sometimes Polish morning radio. I do appreciate quality sound though. I grew up surrounded by classical music. On a recent drive back from New York I ran across 91.1 The Globe. [http://www.globeradio.org]

If you could be a bird, which one would you choose and why?

My dad was an avid ornithologist so I could be here all day: African Grey Parrot (entertainer, gorgeous), Red Knot (world traveler), maybe one of the kites (so dramatic). But if I have to choose one, then I’d be a black-bellied plover, which is all of that and more.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

I enjoy coffee with friends, usually one-on-one. Right now I’m listening to the cicadas and traffic. I go for walks, read, text a lot, mess around on Facebook a lot a lot.

Thursday’s Thoughts featuring author Anna Muir #paranormal #urbanfantasy

Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions posed to them.

One of October’s featured authors is Anna Muir.

How long have you been writing?

When I was a toddler I would give my mom a pencil and a pad of paper, and she would write down the story I told her. Thanks Mom!

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I really love the idea of a nom de plume. The idea of letting my work stand on it’s own, without people attaching their ideas about who I am to it, is absurdly thrilling. I kind of feel like I’m getting away with something.

Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?

Pachacuti built Machu Picchu, and I’d love to ask him why. Enheduanna was the daughter of a Mesopotamian king and one of the first recorded female poets. Who wouldn’t want her feedback? And Boudica was a Celtic queen who went up against the Romans, she would be fascinating to interview.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

I love to read! I’m currently reading a biography of Lyndon Johnson, who was a real rat. I also love hiking and traveling.

Who is Anna Muir?  Anna Muir is a nom de plume for a writer who lives in South Carolina. She makes really yummy jambalaya, head bangs to Viking death metal, and loves poofy dresses, mythology, and history. She has a beloved cat named after a 15th century Vatican assassin. She is a jack of all trades and master of none. She writes, hikes, takes pictures, and has a bucket list a mile long. Pretty much everything she does is with the goal of traveling somewhere new in mind. You can check out her blog  for more interesting tidbits or her Amazon page for her latest books.

Thursday Thoughts: Featuring Author Karina Kantas ‎@KarinaKantas

Welcome to TOW bi-monthly feature Thursday’s Thoughts. On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions I posed to them.

One of September’s featured authors is Karina Kantas.

Karina Kantas

How long have you been writing?

I have been writing for over twenty years. I’m a freelance writer with around 30 publications. I’m an author of 8 titles and I’m also a narrator, VA and book trailer designer.

What is your favorite quote and why?

My favourite quote is write about what you know. This is so important for first time authors. When you are writing about something that you know from experience or have the passion for, this comes out in the writing and it sounds as though you know what you’re talking about. When if fact you do.

What is your dream vacation entail?

I’ve always wanted to go on a week’s cruise, I don’t care where. I just want to fine dine with award winning chefs, dress up in a gown to have dinner with the captain and watch the fantastic entertainment they have on board.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Well, being a VA keeps me very busy and I love what I do. If I can find a couple of hours for myself, I love catching up with my favourite TV series.

Who is Karina Kantas?  She from the UK but has lived in Greece most of her life. Karina Kantas is the author of the hit MC thriller series, The OUTLAW.

If you would like to know more about her books. You can find them all on Amazon and all the other great online bookstores. Let her know what you think. She always has time for her readers.FacebookTwitter0d7f2-blogf6451-pinterest
