WTMO Excerpt Banner Final.jpg
The name on the file folder, J. McKenna, gave me a chill. He had been wounded in the line of duty—shot by a bank robbery suspect. Seeing the name reminded me of where I came from and why the need for hiding existed. I pushed the memories down. I’m not that person anymore. That person doesn’t exist. It wasn’t necessary to touch the necklace underneath my sweater as a reminder, but it had become a nervous habit. The locket was the only thing I had kept from that life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The door opened and Sheila showed my patient in. As my eyes met his, my heart stopped for what seemed like hours. After reading the file, I was afraid of this. How many Jackson McKenna’s could there be? The hair is shorter and the face is older, but it’s him. I would know those eyes anywhere. Jackson McKenna. He was my first love and indirectly, the reason I had to use a cane to walk farther than across the room.
I cleared my throat and stood, reaching out to shake his hand as I would with any new patient, hoping he didn’t recognize me.
“I’m Dr. Parker. Please make yourself comfortable, Officer McKenna, and we can get started.”
When I realized his right arm was in a sling and we couldn’t shake hands, I dropped mine back to my side. Picking up my notepad and pen, I hoped he didn’t see the way my hands were shaking.
“It’s actually Detective, not Officer.”
He sat on the couch across from me, observing with those hazel eyes that have haunted my dreams for ten years, and then he shook his head.
“You remind me of someone I used to know a long time ago.”
Best phone case EVER!!! #EYN #walletcase #tryITtuesday #iphonecase #iPhone6plus
tryitTuesday
It has been a while since I have talked about a product that I love for you to try.
In an effort to revive my Try It Tuesday meme, I am going to talk about my favorite phone case.
E-Y-N = Everything you need
EYN Products  makes the best phone case ever. I have had different cases for my iPhone and I always come back to this brand. I can hold my phone, 2 cards, and my ID. Plus there is a nifty little mirror.
I discovered this company when I bought a case for my iPhone 5 off of Groupon. My first case was a light blue in color. While I love the functionality of this phone case, I do not recommend purchasing in a light color because if you are OCD like me once it starts to get dirty, you are going to want to buy a new case.
When I upgraded to 6Plus, the first thing I did was get another EYN case. This time, I bought it on Amazon.
Thank you PRIME free shipping!
When people first see my case, they ask if it is one of those external batteries that people sometimes have on their phones. When I tell them it is my phone case, they are pleasantly surprised.
While this is my favorite phone case, I have two complaints:
(1) I can’t use the phone jack with my aux cord in my car. My ear phones are Bluetooth, so that’s is not much of an issue. I have to take off the bottom part of the case too use the aux cord.
(2) One of my power charging cords does not stay plugged in because the space surrounding the charging port is narrow. It fits Apple charger cord but not some after market charger cords. Again, not a deal breaker, but a mild annoyance.
TOW final word: Buy, Borrow, Pass
BUY. This will be the last case you will want because it has everything.
Alpha Geek #shifterRomance #amreading
Alpha Geek ♥♥♥
Synopsis
Scarlett is a lioness shifter and her lion says that Knox is her mate. The problem is that Knox is a human and Scarlett is afraid her lion will break his puny body.
When Knox is attacked and fighting for his life, a scientist injects him with a cocktail of alpha animal shifter DNA to try to save him. Not only does Knox survive, all his alpha animals agree that Scarlett is their chosen mate.
Opinion
While I understand Scarlett’s hesitation for not wanting to mate with Knox before his change, I wonder how a human man/female shifter couple is any different from a shifter man/female shifter combination. It seems that shifter men don’t have any issue with choosing a human female. Thinking logically, it would seem that it should go both ways.
Before the change, Knox was cute. After the change, Knox was HAWT!!! Plus his potty mouth had no filter as he described in detail what he wanted to do to Scarlett.
The story had a few inconsistencies in the plot line and that is the main reason why I did not give it a 4th heart. For instance, I had a hard time picturing the whole scene leading up to Knox’s attack. For someone who had a lot of security, how were they able to get away with it without having any witnesses?
Plus, the villain was so predictable that I could not understand how Knox did not see that coming. As much of a genius as he was supposed to be, he was kind of dumb at times.
In the end, Scarlett ends up being the delicate one in the relationship because Knox is a strong multi-animal alpha.
TOW Final Word: Buy, Borrow, Pass?
BUY. Even with the plot issues and being a little corny at times, HOT ALPHA Knox’s dialogue makes up for it. I seriously had some weird (in a good way) dreams after reading this book.
Blog tour: Deceit by Addison Jane @AddisonJaneNZ and KE Osborn @KEOsbornAuthor #amreading #romance #suspense
Title: Deceit
Series: The Vindicated Series Book One
Authors: Addison Jane & KE Osborn
Cover Model: Burton Hughes
Photographer: Eric Battershell
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: November 9, 2016
“Deceit is simply explosive and I loved every minute of it. From beginning to end I was completely captivated.”
“Deceit is a exciting read that draws the reader in and keeps you gripped right until the end.”
Covert, stealthy, cunning—I’m trained as a weapon. A lethal killer. I do what needs to be done in order to protect those who can’t protect themselves.
I’m never the same person twice.
It’s never been an issue.
But I underestimated her.
The beautiful woman next door. There’s something sexy about the way she watches me, eyes wide with an innocent curiosity. I find myself aching for her attention. I want her to look at me, but not when I’m covered in the blood of the man I just killed.
I live in the dark. She could be my light. I want her. And I know she feels it too.
When what I do puts her life in danger, everything changes. And I start to realize that maybe not all is as it seems. Every part of me screams to save her…
But what if I’m wrong.
What if she’s the one saving me?
You’d think I’d be nervous, but instead, a rush of excitement flows through me as I traipse the halls of the hospital in my fake scrubs dressed convincingly as a doctor.
I look the part.
I always look the part.
My fake ID badge sits proudly where I want it, allowing me to slip in where I need to be. Flashing my badge to the security guards stationed at the door I walk straight in closing it behind me, just as I knew I would.
I have to do this.
You’d think considering a terrorist attack occurred not so long ago they would be better prepared than this. As long as I look the part, and have the appropriate badge, they’re convinced I am that person.
But I’m not. I’m here for one reason and one reason only, and he’s lying here in this hospital room hooked up to the endlessly beeping machines, pumping oxygen and God knows what else in an inane attempt to keep him alive.
This man is the sole survivor of the attack. I wasn’t able to bring him down then, so my task is to bring him down now.
Sliding the curtain around his bed as I step up to him, the metal rings clink along the railing while my heart races in my chest. Killing is something that comes naturally to me. I’ve done it for so long now it’s ingrained in me.
I can’t count the number of men I’ve taken out—all in the name of the Seven.
Addison Jane is a born and bred kiwi girl with a passion for romance and writing.
When she gets the chance she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and Facebook, but her world really revolves around the little girl who calls her Mum. It’s an awkward balance between alpha males and Disney princesses, but it works.
Growing up on a small farm next to the beach will always make her a country girl at heart. But since moving away to a small town close to the city, she’s discovered a dangerous love for shopping.
Writing stories has been something that’s come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world.
She enjoys bringing her books to life with strong female leads, sexy, passionate men and a rollercoaster of twists and turns that lead to the happily ever after that her readers desire.
Australian author K E Osborn was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. With a background in graphic design and a flair for all things creative, she felt compelled to write the story brewing in her mind.
Writing gives her life purpose. It makes her feel, laugh, cry and get completely enveloped in the characters and their story lines. She feels completely at home when writing and wouldn’t consider doing anything else.
He burned her once…
Sophie Gallo has survived a lot in her twenty-three years. Both parents gone, dreams abandoned, and a heart shattered. But she came out on the other side stronger than ever.
Then, one night with Luke in her bed… on her kitchen table… against the wall… made Sophie feel alive again. Right up until he ran before the bed stopped shaking. Seeing him every day at the Middleburg Police Station, thanks to her job as the office manager, is a special kind of torture. But she clings to her hate and anger, hiding her sadness and desire, even from herself.
She weakened him once…
Sergeant Luke McCracken lives to serve and protect. Not only the citizens of Middleburg, but also the woman who captivates him mind, body, and soul. Even if that means shielding her from the biggest threat to her happiness – himself.
Luke gave in to his lust once. But he won’t allow himself to be reckless with Sophie’s heart again. Though he can’t help but provoke her just to see her passion, even if it comes in the form of hatred. He’d live on nothing but the memories of their night together if it meant she’d have the life she deserved.
His town is being plagued by a rash of break-ins and an increase in drug overdoses, and his desk overflows with cases waiting to be solved. But never, in all the time he told himself to protect Sophie from the risks he presented, did he think she would find herself in danger from outside forces.
One night with her stole his heart, one dispatcher call stopped it.
This is book 1 in the new Blue Line Series, all featuring a different hot police officer at the Middleburg Police Station. Each book can be read as a stand alone. If you like hot men in uniform doing naughty things to strong, smart women, this is the book for you!
When they reached the car, he pressed her front against her shitty little Corolla. Leaving no part of her neck unexplored, he rolled kisses, licks, and bites across her skin. A trail of goose bumps sprang up wherever his mouth ventured.
She placed her hands on the roof of the car and spread her legs a little over shoulder-width apart. The street lamp across the way lit her profile, lending a glowing halo effect to her already angelic face. “Are you going to frisk me, Officer McCracken?”
Just like that, he attained a new level of hard. He’d be lying if he said the fantasy of pulling over a hot woman and f*****g her against the car hadn’t crossed his mind a time or two.
“I think I should, ma’am. Need to make sure you’re not packing.” Going down onto one knee behind her, he glided his hands over her smooth calves, sweeping around to rub her shins. She started panting as he moved higher up her legs. “Wider.”
She shuffled her feet out another six inches or so. He slid his hands onto her inner thighs. Her whimper set his chest and groin on fire. Finally, he found the junction of her legs. Warm and wet, her panties were soaked.
She tasted of mint, tequila, and something sweet he couldn’t place, but made the desire to devour her grow. But not here. Forcing himself to stop kissing her might have been the hardest thing he’d ever done.
Brandy Ayers is a writer of erotic romance. Or romantic erotica, depending on how you look at it. She has been telling stories in one form or another since she was a child and decided her English / Irish heritage was boring. Instead, for a 4th grade class genealogy assignment, she weaved a tale of mystery and intrigue about her great, great grandpa chief of the Navajo tribe. No one bought it. Brandy lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, son, and a very depressed basset hound.
