This is going to be a boring post since there are no pictures – so I will be brief
I did not want to stay in North Charleston because of what I heard from others. But since I did not want to spend $300/night on a hotel room, I did not have much of a choice. Yes I was determined to go to Charleston in the middle of July and looked for accommodations at the last minute.
Holiday Inn Charleston Airport & Convention Center was nice. It seemed to be a newer hotel. It met all my expectations of the Holiday Inn brand. I did not eat breakfast here, but did notice there was a restaurant. The hotel was situated close to an interstate but I could not hear anything from the room. There was adequate parking and the amenities were as described. A plus is that the hotel is on the same exit as the outlet mall. Yay for me!
If you want a comfortable room at a reasonable price, this is a good location. It is only about 15 to downtown Charleston and about 20 minutes to the Isle of Palms beaches (when there is little traffic).
