Opinion
The story was so basic. Tania has an unprotected sex one night stand with a guy after her boyfriend broke up with her. Of course, she’s going to get pregnant! That’s a common trope among romance novels.

Here’s the twist: she’s pregnant with quadruplets.

Let that be a lesson to anyone having a one night stand.

Good thing he’s a billionaire.

I felt the title was click bait though. Nothing about their relationship or the babies was “forbidden “.

Synopsis

Harrison & Marian!!!!

It has been a while since I read a dragon shifter romance from Terry Bolryder, and I was feeling so sentimental!

In this story, Marian cashes a IOU type of dragon chip because she is down on her luck and needs a place to stay until she can get back on her feet. The dragon who gave this chip is Harrison.

Marian is spunky and looks for ways to be independent. The independence is a coping mechanism for a lifetime of having people let her down. This leads to the main reason why she is so hesitant about getting into a relationship.

Harrison is drawn to her but he’s trying to keep his distance so he doesn’t reveal his big secret that he is a dragon shifter. Meanwhile, there is trouble brewing with their shifter neighbors who seem to be around just to cause mischief.

The story centers around Marion and Harrison getting to know each other and learning how to trust one another. Plus, there are some monsters that Harrison knows could be an issue in the future and he is wary about getting into a relationship with someone because of it. Never fear! It all works out for the best.

Buy. Overall, it’s not as action packed as other dragon shifter romances, but it still was a fun, light read. Harrison and Marian were a cute couple.

The second problem? He’s my best friend.
My shut-up-and-put-on-Harry-Potter, yes-this-is-your-shirt, help-I-have-no-power, crap-I’m-out-of-tampons, kinda best friend.
And that’s all he can be, right?
Right.

Opinion
Brooke is loud, brash, and snarky. I should have loved her. Instead I was annoyed. I could not understand why she seem so intent on sabotaging the relationship.

Brooke’s life tip number one is “don’t fall for your best friend”. It is too bad that she already did that. She could have embraced it, but she was so sure they would not succeed as a couple. As a result, she was all over the place and it seem to me that she was being extremely weird.

Cain was cute but super clueless. I cannot see how it was possible for him to be that dense. Everyone else seems to know Brooke was madly in love with him while he obliviously is dating someone else. They wonder how long Brooke will carry a torch for him. When he finally finds out that Brooke wants more, I thought he was extremely patient to deal with all of her antics.

The supporting characters made this book for me.

BORROW. I loved Cain in a he-is-too-cute kind of way. Brooke was too annoying for me.

Opinion
James seems to be one of those genius research scientists who has no common sense. Although he seems to calm down once he and Diana get married.

While it was a quick, spur of the moment decision to help his reputation, they both had good intentions to see that their relationship was successful. Diana has financial and emotional issues but that does not prevent her from displaying her bigheartedness from the beginning.

I felt like the book’s title did not adequately describe it. He was not “naughty” to me. And the synopsis made it seem more salacious than it actually was. That was fine though because I was expecting him to be a jerk. What I found was that James was genuinely a good guy that made a lot of bad decisions.

That being said, by the end, you understand why James is the way he is and I think all the loose ends are tied up nicely.

TOW Final Word: Buy, Borrow, Pass?
BORROW. If you stick with it, there is a plot twist that helps to explain everything. It was entertaining, but I do not think it is worth $2.99.
