Photo Blogging Challenge: Nature #photoblog #gooutside

The theme for September’s photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com/ was NATURE. Once again I need to confess that I did not actively participate in this challenge. I wanted to have a post included, so I took some extreme creative license to make some of my pictures fit the them.

Without further ado, here are my pictures on the theme.

Picture #1

This is Toby. He is my dog-nephew. I dog sat him the other week and we were playing fetch. He does not totally understand the game yet, but he is learning. He is my cutie pie. After this, we went inside an took a nap.

Labor Day weekend, were were in Gatlinburg TN an saw this butterfly. She(?) was still long enough for me to get a close up picture. I love butterflies for their strength and delicate beauty. Plus, they teach us that life’s struggles can change us into something beautiful.

This is a picture of a pot of elderberry syrup in the making. How is this nature related? I love that natural foods can help us to be healthy. Elderberries are known to help boost the natural immune system and fight the cold and flu. I used dried, organic elderberries and added Ningxia berries because they are full of antioxidants. Drinking this means I can enjoy the outdoors even more!

I took this picture to use as part of a post I had to do for a project I was part of last month. While I was researching about my top five tree essential oils, I learn a lot of interesting information.

Did you know that scientific studies have shown the essential oils from many trees were found to reduce the levels of cortisol stress?

I read a lot of studies on PubMed website that were very eye-opening and convinced me I need to take more walks in the forest for my health!  If you want to know where to buy any of these, I am a distributor .

While you’re there, please consider joining us next month! Participation is like taking on a low-stress photo assignment, which you can use to refine your photography skills. Any camera will do: your phone, a pocket-sized point and shoot, the DSLR that’s been gathering dust somewhere or a film camera. For each month’s theme, you’re asked to share five photos; the amount of accompanying text is up to you.

Photo Blogging #Challenge July 2016 theme: #photographer choice #photoblog #fun #influenster

july_results

July’s theme for the photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaablog.com was Photographer’s Choice.

The hardest part about this was deciding which pictures to use. When the theme is whatever I want to share, that is really easy but really hard at the same time. Without further ado, my photo picks.

I received a sample of ZzzQuil from Influenster to try their product I’m exchange for an honest review. Click here to see my review on YouTube. In short, this product works as advertised. I slept well with no drowsiness the next day. I participated in an Instagram campaign to post the product reveal and I liked the picture I posted so much that I’m sharing here. This is for the sleep lovers!

In my plants on the porch of my house, I saw a baby lizard (I think it is a Green Anole -Anolis carolinensis). He was too cute and was being so still, I wanted to capture him on camera. He darted off as soon as the picture was taken.  🙂 Can you see him? He blends in so well with the green leaves.

A new donut shop opened in town. I love their box because it is so positive. Makes you feel good about eating donuts. YES! I DO deserve a donut! 😀

I had to go on a business trip and I at lunch at Volare in Hapeville, GA. I love the colors of this plate. It is grilled Atlantic salmon with a blueberry reduction, honeyed goat cheese and a side of whole grain rice. The salmon was superb! The blueberry reduction was slightly sweet and paired well with the goat cheese. It was creamy and tart with a hint of honeyed sweetness too. The dish had everything I wanted in a meal: salty, sweet, tangy, tart.

My bucket/ Life’s-to-do list has one less item on it. I went to my first Cirque du Soliel show in July. Ovo was playing at the Bon Secours Wellness Area. I decided back in April that I was going with or without any of my friends. I sent out the text and asked who wanted to go, and a few people responded in time for me to buy the tickets. We had a blast and enjoyed the show thoroughly. It makes you appreciate the dedication it must take for the performers to have that much control over their bodies to master such feats.

I had a fun filled month and cannot wait to see what August will bring 🙂
