Photo Blogging Challenge: Liquid #photoblog

The theme for October’s photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com/ was LIQUID. I tried to find cool, different pictures that fit the theme.

Without further ado, here are my pictures on the theme.

Photo 1

This is my friend’s fancy espresso and cappuccino machine. One Saturday we were all together and as everyone was drinking their coffee, I decided to spotlight the machine that made it all possible 🙂

After watching a video on Facebook, I made a face serum with the recipe that was featured in the video. The ingredient Blue Tansy gives it its vibrant color. I have been using it daily and my skin seems softer because of it. Plus, it was really easy to make.

1.5 oz rose hip oil & .5 oz jojoba oil

20 drops each essential oil Blue Tansy, Frankincense, Lavender, Sandalwood

I had to go on a business trip and stayed at a Embassy Suites. I love that they have complimentary drinks during their Happy Hour. I ordered a vodka cranberry so that I could get my Vitamin C.

Photo 4

My business trip destination was San Francisco. Of course, I had to get a picture of the San Francisco bridge. It is so peaceful to sit at the park at look out over the water. However, I could not stay long because it got chilly. That wind is something else!

At an art event that I attended, there was a potter spinning clay. It was mesmerizing to watch her mold the clay with her hands, adding drops of water at the right time. What started as a lump of clay became the vase you see in the picture. I am planning to take her class because I want to learn how to make pottery.

Photo blogging #challenge November 2018 #nomnomnom #photoblog #fun

The theme for November’s photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com/ was Nom Nom Nom. It seems like it has been forever since I participated in the photo challenge. I wanted to get back into doing this and when the theme is FOOD, I had to go through my pictures and share.

Without further ado, here are my pictures on the theme.

We went to Caye Caulker, Belize and made sure to eat plenty of lobster 🦞

Photo 2

The standard Belize meal is stewed chicken, rice and beans, and Cole slaw. When I don’t know what to order, it is my comfort food!!!

Photo 3

Pina coladas were my Nana’s favorite drink. As she got older, she would ask for them without the rum. I would tell the server to put the rum on the side 😂 .

Photo 4

The local beer in Belize is Belikin . Hubs drank that while I was drinking piña coladas.

When we were in Atlanta for a trade show, we went to an Irish pub. They had fried goat cheese and it was delicious!! It had a side of honey with jalapeños. It was sweet, salty, and spicy all at the same time.

These were just a few of the pictures that show how much delicious food I ate during the month.

Photo blogging #challenge April 2017 #color #photoblog #fun

The theme for April’s photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com/ was COLOR. It has been a LONNNG while since I participated in the photo challenge. I wanted to get back into doing this because it is my one time a month to share a visual insight in my world.

Without further ado, here are my pictures on the theme.

We went to the North Georgia mountains fir our anniversary. We stayed in a cabin at the Sylvan Valley Lodge. Outside the back was dense forest. All the shades of green looked so peaceful.

Photo 2

I went to a painting class and painted this picture. The local chamber of commerce hosted the event to promote the upcoming Festival of Flowers in June. I think my picture is so colorful and pretty. I was surprised that it turned out as well as it did.

Photo 3

I am a Young Living independent distributor. I have bottles of essential oils everywhere. I took this picture because I was staging a picture for Instagram. I love the different colors of the bottle labels.  Of the ones pictured, I think Thieves is my most used lately to boost my immune system because there are too many sick people at work.

Photo 4

I was a judge for a local chef competition. Of course, I was judging the Dessert entries because I love sweets. This lovely, colorful dessert is a lemon basil cake with strawberry cream topped with candied pecans and lemon whipped cream. I love all that is going on with this dish!!!! It was my fave.

Photo 5

I ordered sweet potato tempura sushi the other day. I like how the orange of the sweet potato pops in this. It was tasty too.

These were just a few of the pictures that show the colorful areas of my life.

Photo Blogging #Challenge (October 2016): #Water #photoblog #fun

october-results

October’s theme for the photo blogging challenge hosted by http://hoohaa.com/?p=11777 was Water. I knew this would be an easy theme for me because I was going on vacation to Costa Rica (Guanacaste region). In the middle of the rainforest and on the beach, I had plenty of chances for pictures with water.

Picture 1
Everyday it was a little cloudy and it rained. We were in the rainy season. We did not mind though and still went to the beach. It was hot and the slightly overcast sky meant the sun was not a brutal.

Near the resort, we saw locals fishing. He looked so relaxed in the water, that I wanted to capture that moment.

We took an excursion to one of the many waterfalls in the Gaunacaste region. Hubs is in this picture to give you some scale as to how large the waterfall was. I liked this one because of the contrast with the water, greenery, and black rock.

We went to a volcano crater and walked inside of it. The volcano was dormant at the time, but still very hot. The spring water that escaped from the earth was bubbling hot. It was mesmerizing. I knew it was boiling hot but at the same time, I wanted to touch it. I resisted and prevented getting 3rd burns.

On the last day, I had this cucumber, pineapple, spinach juice. In Spanish, these drinks are called “Aguas” which literally means “water”. I included it because by the last day, I was drinking healthy veggie and fruit waters to detox from all the alcohol I had been drinking during our vacation 😀

I love looking at the lush greenery made possible by the abundance of water in the form of rainfall.

As you can see, I had a great month and cannot wait to see what the theme will be in November 🙂
