BLOG TOUR: Dirty Like Me @JaineDiamondXO #romanticcomedy #rockstar

Congratulations author Jaine Diamond on your book Dirty Like Me!

In a warm welcome fashion, I wanted to interview Janie Diamond so all TOW readers can get to know her a little better.

What is your favorite positive saying?

Love conquers all! That’s pretty much the underlying theme of all of my books… and romance books in general, I suppose.

What is your favorite film and why?

Oh, man. I’d have to say my favorite film of all time is Heat, with Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Val Kilmer. I guess I secretly love badass guys with guns (in fiction), which is why I’m feeling really tempted to write a motorcycle club romance or some other type of outlaw romance sometime soon-ish.

If you could be an animal, which would you be and why?

Does a unicorn count? I would totally be a unicorn. Because everyone loves unicorns, right?

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Hmm… I don’t know how interesting it is, but I can’t seem to get on board with the whole idea of just writing and then editing later. I can’t stop editing while I write. It drives me crazy if things aren’t all neat and tidy all along the way. I’m kind of obsessive about it; especially the first scene or chapter… I’ll rewrite and tweak it dozens of times to make sure I’m getting the story off on the right foot.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

I spend a lot of time with my man and our little girl; she’s a year and a half and starting to talk, so she’s pretty entertaining. I read, a lot. And I spend a LOT of time daydreaming up ideas for my forthcoming books! Which is a really good way to spend time, since my books involve a lot of sexy stuff.

Dirty Like Me will be on sale for 99 cents Nov 7-11.

Book Blurb:

A gorgeous rock star.
An indecent proposal.
How can a girl resist?

Struggling barista Katie Bloom doesn’t even know who Jesse Mayes is until she inadvertently wins the coveted role of sex kitten in his hot new music video. But by the time she’s in bed with him, she knows his reputation.

Love maker. Heartbreaker.

Making out with a stranger in front of a camera crew isn’t how Katie imagined herself getting over a broken heart, but when Jesse touches her, sparks fly. The sex is fake but the chemistry is real, and soon the steamy video is blazing up the charts.

Then Jesse makes Katie an irresistible offer: act as his girlfriend for six weeks while he promotes his new album. The only catch? Their sizzling make-out sessions will be for the cameras only.

Which is fine with Katie, since she’s not about to trust her heart to rock’s most legendary lover. Her body? Maybe…

Thursday’s Thoughts featuring author K P Smith #YA #NewRelease #NewBeginnings

Welcome to TOW monthly feature call Thursday’s Thoughts. On the last Thursday in the month, I share the thoughts of a featured author in the form of answers to questions I posed to them.

August’s featured author is K P Smith.

How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing since forever. Long before I became an author, I wrote countless words, thoughts and ideas down in notebooks. Journaling was a lifeline for me. It was my therapy and my coping mechanism during the tough times of growing up. Writing is cleansing and therapeutic for me.

I’m an avid reader so I wanted to write a book since I read “Hey God It’s Me Margaret” by Judy Blume. My dream of becoming an author was actualized in 2011.
Who is one author that you would like to collaborate with?

We have to go to the great beyond. Sidney. Sheldon.That.Is.All.

What has been the best compliment you have received?

I don’t think I can pick one. But anytime someone tells me something I’ve said or written has helped, inspired or encouraged them always make me feel like I’m doing something useful.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

I have two teenage sons that keep me busy. When I do get some time for me, I do have my favorite tv shows I like to watch sitting on my loveseat with my tweepers on Twitter. I also love a good movie and a good book, of course.

Who is K P Smith? She believes everyone is here for a reason. They are here for a purpose. Life is a gift to be enjoyed not endured. We are here to thrive not merely survive. Whether it’s penning My Growing Pains Series or her upcoming non-fiction books, or coaching first time indie authors or helping people with their relationships; she is always discovering new ways to help people live their best lives possible.

The only thing better than watching my favorite shows is watching it with millions of others via twitter!! She is a major tweeter!

Book Blurb: Kendra’s in high school! New Beginnings abound at home, school and in her relationships. Things are changing at lightning speed.

She’s saying hello and embracing new relationships while at the same time coping with heart breaking good-byes of others.
Patrice convinces her to give an “old friend” another chance. This coupled with an unplanned chain of events catapults Kendra from a place of obscurity to center stage at school. Center stage has her wedged in a long standing school rivalry which will divide and test her loyalties. And threaten her new relationships.
Kendra isn’t the only one embarking on new beginnings.  A health scare creates a new family dynamic but even with a new dynamic it’s the same family drama.  The family tension escalates and bubbles over and with Meme gone Papa is left trying to keep the family intact.
High school brings about “A New Katrina” and Avery and Jamie don’t escape the winds of change blistering through either.
New Beginnings is the next chapter in the Growing Pains Series. Kendra’s journey continues. In Book Two she finds her own place her own voice in her own way.

Author Spotlight: Terry Bolryder #paranormalromance #bearshifter #lionshifter

Author Spotlight: Terry Bolryder

It is rare that I buy every book from one author. In the case of Terry Bolryder, she has found a formula in her writing that draws me in so much, that I pretty much want everything that she has written.

I have read SEVERAL complete series and box sets from her. From the books I have read, it seems that she writes paranormal books focusing on bear and lion shifters as her main characters.

I discovered Terry Bolryder when I purchased the Polar Heat Boxed Set . I liked her writing style because she has so many different types of plots that are somewhat similar in a way, but still different enough that I am entertained. Her heroes are alpha protectors who will do whatever they have to do in order to be with their mates. The heroines are independent, sassy, and can hold their own against the dominant men who come into their lives.

Another great thing I like about her writing, fated mates does not matter when it comes to race or species. Some stories are BWWM and others are bear-lion or bear-wolf shifter combinations. None of it seems forced. They (usually the guy) recognize who their fated mate is and they do what they have to do in order to ensure the relationship’s success.

Should you buy? I think so! I just went ahead and provided the links for the box sets (where available) because you cannot read just one!

Top Ten New-To-Us Authors in 2015

I wanted to participate in the The Broke and the Bookish Top Ten Tuesday for a while but was never able to get myself together to write the post earlier enough in the day. The main reason is that I am horrible about making lists. However, one of my goals for the year was to join in the Top Ten fun at least once.

This week’s theme is Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015. It was relatively easy for me because I read a lot of new authors this year. I was trying to venture out of my comfort zone. Without further ado, my TOP TEN.

  1. Xyla Turner  Xyla Turner

When I read Across the Tracks, honestly, I was not expecting how much I was going to enjoy this book. It’s an interracial romance between two people that hate each other from the beginning. Xyla wove such an engaging story that I wish that I knew these Lisa and Rich in real life. I was bereft when the story was finished because I needed more. I have been recommending her to everyone I know.

  2. Alexander Ivy Alexandra Ivy

I read Kill Without Mercy (scheduled to release later this month-full review coming soon) and decided that I want to read more of her books. This book in particular has me hooked on her ARES Security series. It’s a suspense thriller with romantic elements. Rafe and Annie are a cute couple, but I cannot wait to read his friends’ stories too.

  3. Alyse Zaftig

I read The Alpha Lion’s Bride which was a lion shifter-interracial romance. Animal shifter plot line notwithstanding, I like how her characters were so believable. Trevor was so intense but Allison did not fall in line just because. The story was not cheesy. Thanks Alyse!

  4. Jacqueline Sweet  Jacqueline Sweet

The book A Slice of Honeybear Pie is a were-bear- interracial romance. Matt is a loveable, cuddly were-bear who happens to meet his mate at the courthouse. Since he has a major sweet tooth, it’s a good thing she is a baker. The story overall was good and I like the world that Jacqueline created.

  5. Vivenne Savage

I read The Right to Bear Arms and I instantly fell in love with Russ, a widower ex-military bear shifter. He was an alpha with the right amount of tenderness for Daniela. I liked the tidbits of his friends that Vivenne shared and know that their stories will be just as entertaining.

  6. Sable Hunter

I read Texas Wildfire and was hesitant at first because I thought it was going to be a love triangle romance between a firefighter, his captain, and his captain’s wife. Thankfully, it was not. I did appreciate how Sable handled the topic of domestic violence and addressed how some victims might feel threatened into staying in an abusive relationship.

  7. Eliza Gayle   Eliza Gayle

On a whim I bought Dirty Sexy Furry. The story about Lucas a were-lion and Kira a psi had its convoluted elements, but they all seemed to fit together. I liked the way that Eliza intertwined the internal and external conflict in the story.

  8. G.A. Aiken

In the book Feel the Burn, I was introduced to a Game of Thrones type of world. Gaius is a one-eyed dragon shifter king and Kachka is a woman from a tribe that has little regard for males. It was a hilariously energetic story. I wondered why I was just now finding out about G.A. Aiken. I have a lot of books added to my TBR.

  9. Nina Bruhms  Nina Bruhns

In the book Kiss of a Lifetime, Trey and Lacy have a one-night stand in the midst of a country coup. Years later, they meet again and sparks fly. The story was so sweet that when I finished, I wanted to read more from Nina. I even started following her on Twitter.

  10. Shelly Munro  Shelley Munro

I read the book Blue Moon Dragon about Jack, a taniwha dragon shifter, and Emma, the girl who has a crush on him. I had never read any story based on Māori mythology, so it was interesting. Looking forward to more from this author too.

Join in the fun and share your favorite new authors of 2015 in the comments or in a post of your own. Be sure to link back to  The Broke and the Bookish Top Ten Tuesday since they are hosting this meme!

As for me I will …
